Can't find these items on the list

Postby LadyArwen on Wed Feb 17, 2010 3:18 pm

I been wondering why Light Coconut Milk and Lean Lamb is not on the lists. For a 3 oz serving of Leg of Lamb is only 162 calories and 6.6 gram of fat if it was trimmed to a 1/4 inch. and Beef Sirloin tips are 202 calories and 9.3 gram of fat. Was that an oversight? And the light Coconut milk is only 35 calories and 2.5 fat. I use it to make Satay sauce for my chicken. Does anybody know why we can't have those?

Lamb is on the Phase 1list. I copied this directly from the phase 1 list from this site:

LAMB (Remove all visible fat)

Center Cut
Chop
Loin

I have not found any info on the coconut milk yet though.

Light Coconut Milk is also on the updated P1 list, under Seasonings and Condiments. I know it's approved because there are recipes in the SB Cookbooks that use it.

yep...I looked in my newest SB book, The SB Diet Super charged, and sure enough...lite coconut milk is listed as a P1 seasoning and condiment. Keep in mind that this means it should be used on foods or in foods, & not used in large portions, such as to drink.

Use the food lists posted on this site under Phase 1. They are up to date.
